ADP Consulting builds national structural and civil capability to expand in-house offering to clients

We need economical and sustainably designed buildings and places now more than ever.

To this end, we are building on our current NSW structural capability to provide our clients with a national structural engineering and civil engineering offering.

Joining Andrew Franklin (NSW Structural Lead) are Stephen Boyes (VIC Structural Lead), Tom Dawes (QLD Structural Lead) and Scott Sharma (National Civil Lead).

Well-regarded in the market for their contributions to major, new-build projects which have shaped skylines across Australia, our leaders are also strong advocates for environmentally responsible design.

The bolstered offering will provide our clients with a holistic, multi-faceted service to design that is focused on efficiency and sustainability.  

Focused on ensuring they select and develop the most financially viable and environmentally friendly design for each project, our team invest additional time into early optioneering analysis ensuring that designs are efficient from the outset and do not require value engineering. This minimises material usage, labour and construction timelines from the onset and avoids the need for subsequent value engineering.

With the reduction of upfront carbon easiest at the concept design stage, our Structural and Civil team work in collaboration with our ESD team, to take optioneering to the next level on Greenstar projects with detailed embodied carbon modelling, analysis and reporting.

As a group, they champion the use of mass timber, low carbon steel and cement substitution in concrete, looking for any opportunity to re-use and recycle. The civil team prioritise natural forms when it comes to the design of water quality systems and assess the impact of climate change factors to rainfall intensity, particularly for future flood events.

Collectively, Stephen, Tom, Andrew and Scott have delivered billions of dollars worth of large-scale projects across all major sectors. Blending technical excellence and experience, they design buildings that stack up for our clients, and the environment.
