ADP is a signature to the World Green Buildings Council’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment – and have formalised our commitment to reach net zero operating emissions within our jurisdiction of buildings by 2030 and advocate for all buildings to be net zero carbon in operation by 2050.
We are distinctively placed through our engineering design and strategies to influence our clients and partners to embrace new ideas and technologies that drive low carbon outcomes. We believe this positioning can have a transformative effect on the way we build, operate, and repurpose the built environment.
ADP is a founding member of the Melbourne Collaborative of Engineers Declare, part of a global petition uniting all strands of the engineering profession. Engineers Declare is both a public declaration of our planet’s environmental crises and a commitment to take positive action in response to climate breakdown and biodiversity collapse.
As part of this commitment, we are actively advocating to inform our clients that we are facing a Climate Emergency, and that all projects have a role to play in delivering net zero outcomes, regardless of their size or sector.
LFIA supports the International Living Future Institute’s programs (ILFI) in Australia. These include the Living Building ChallengeTM, the built environment’s most rigorous performance standard; the Biophilic Design Initiative that aims to educate, inspire, and reconnect people with nature through the built environment; and Declare, a program that advocates materials transparency. ADP is 2023 Strategic Partners of LFIA, proactively driving the design and delivery of regenerative design across our projects.
Our Sustainability team holds Living Future Accreditations to advise our clients of regenerative design outcomes.
