Collaborating to Create More Sustainable Laboratories: I2SL Launches New Australian Chapter

ADP Consulting is proud to announce a collaboration with Wood Life Sciences to co-sponsor and enable the formal establishment of the Australian Chapter of the I2SL: International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories.

The globally revered institution champions the development of high-tech facilities and environmentally-friendly laboratories that can keep pace with the ever-evolving needs of research, medicine and science.

I2SL Australia Treasurer and ADP Consulting Health and Life Sciences Sector Lead Nikki Beckman was joined by ADP Consulting Founding Director Laurent Deleu, Director Jon Shally and Senior Mechanical Engineer Emily Chan at an event in Sydney hosted by Gordon Sharp, Global President of I2SL on 5 June to celebrate this significant milestone.

The formal establishment of a local I2SL chapter is a continuance of the support already shown by ADP Consulting and Wood Life Sciences to advocate for and grow the presence of the institution in Australia.

This support could be seen at events hosted by ADP Consulting and Wood Life Sciences in Sydney (pictured, above) and Melbourne last year to help secure a strong membership base in Australia, a prerequisite for the establishment of a local chapter.

The establishment of the new Australian I2SL Chapter contributes to a global movement towards more sustainable, environmentally conscious laboratories and research facilities. The combined expertise of organisations like ADP Consulting, Wood Life Sciences and I2SL has the power to set a new standard not just for Australian laboratories, but for laboratories across the globe.

We look forward to working with I2SL to spearhead the development of safer, more sustainable laboratories and research facilities right around the country.
