Steve’s approach to design is to find pragmatic solutions that are inherently simple, low energy, with reduced material usage. He has over 16 years of experience designing building services across most sectors, including commercial, infrastructure, healthcare, data centres, culture & places, mixed-use, and residential sectors. He has also worked in Australia, Singapore and the United Kingdom.

Steve started his career as an ESD engineer, where he developed specialist skills in CFD and energy modelling. He naturally moved into mechanical design early in his career and always brings a sustainability lens to his work.

His career highlights include being lead mechanical for Powerhouse Parramatta, where he pushed the envelope in terms of sustainability and digital innovation to provide the best outcomes for the client and users.

Another highlight was being the lead mechanical and design manager for the South Tower of Metro Martin Place. This was an incredibly complex project, with many stakeholders, and Steve thrived under the pressure and honed his skills in design leadership.

Steve delivers positive client outcomes through listening, connecting ideas and keeping the team organised. Behind the scenes, he takes great pleasure in consolidating learnings and knowledge by teaching and mentoring.
