Citiplan Property and Brookfield Asset Management are expanding their Journal Student Living portfolio into Queensland with the development of a purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) tower at 240 Margaret Street, Brisbane. The 32-level tower is located adjacent to the City Botanic Gardens, offering residents a prime location within the heart of Brisbane’s CBD.

Designed by Cox Architecture, the development will deliver 952 beds alongside a diverse range of communal amenities, including outdoor spaces, wellbeing facilities, retail tenancies and dedicated study areas. Situated within minutes of Queensland’s leading universities, the project provides students with convenient access to education, recreation and the city’s wider amenities.

Targeting a 5 Star Green Star rating, 240 Margaret Street will be one of the most sustainable and energy-efficient student accommodation facilities in Australia, reflecting a strong focus on environmental performance and occupant wellbeing.
ADP Consulting has been engaged to provide specialist engineering and advisory services across fire protection, hydraulics, ESD consultancy, vertical transportation, ICT, acoustics, mechanical and electrical engineering.
