With the first patient welcomed on Jan 30th 2018, this state of the art hospital facility is providing health services for up to 16,000 patients. St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee (SVPHW) facilities includes a day procedure centre, four operating theatres (one theatre Cath Lab), 32 acute medical/surgical/rehabilitation beds, 16 maternity birth suites as well as a nursery, support areas, kitchen, stores, chapel, car parking and shell spaces for consulting rooms, medical imaging, additional wards and theatres.
The hospital is seen as a significant investment in the city of Wyndham which lies to the west of Melbourne and has the fastest growing population in Australia.
Beside the hospital is the new residential aged care facility which will be home to 80 residents with dementia and low, high and respite care needs.
One of the key challenges for the building services was designing the central services to accommodate future stages and maintaining flexibility whilst staying on budget. Our team achieved this by preparing a ‘master plan’ for the development to identify how the site will operate at its ultimate.
With a large upfront cost premium to the development, to save money in the long run, ADP provided clever cost saving methodologies. This enabled easy upgrades to key plant and services to the hospital ensuring operations throughout the hospital will not impacted.
