ADP Consulting is delivering comprehensive building services engineering for the new Family Health and Wellbeing Hub in Elizabeth Vale, South Australia – an important initiative led by the Women’s & Children’s Hospital Foundation to significantly improve access to vital health and wellbeing services for families throughout Northern Adelaide.

With a strong focus on the health and well-being of children and families, the project’s vision is to empower communities by addressing key social determinants, so that children and families in Northern Adelaide have every opportunity to thrive.

Designed by Studio Nine Architects, the purpose-built, community-focused 1,500-square-metre facility will span two and a half levels, creating a dedicated environment for organisations committed to community wellbeing, child development, family health and capacity-building for parents.

Located adjacent to the Lyell McEwin Hospital, the hub will serve as a central anchor for integrated care, supporting early childhood development, pregnancy services and paediatric care, integrating medical consulting suites, multipurpose community spaces and short-stay accommodation linked to the hospital’s special care nursery.

Our multi-disciplinary scope encompasses mechanical, electrical, fire protection, hydraulics, vertical transportation, specialist lighting, and ESD. A key focus has been the seamless integration of building services to meet the varied yet distinct requirements of healthcare, accommodation, and community use.

The design prioritises high indoor environmental quality (IEQ), efficient ventilation strategies, including a performance-based carpark exhaust solution, and a high-performance building envelope.
