Buranda Village is being transformed into a thriving new mixed-use precinct of the future. The new precinct is set to deliver lifestyle retail, more than 620 residential dwellings and 50,000sqm of commercial office space in one of Brisbane’s most desirable suburbs.

A refreshed retail offer will introduce a new dining experience complemented by landscaped community spaces, residential apartments, and workplace solutions, all in one location.

The project aims to meet the growing ‘work near home’ demand by offering a new Workplace Precinct with modern, flexible A-Grade commercial space across three buildings.

The Lifestyle Precinct will be approximately 10,000 sqm of retail and commercial space, including a full-line supermarket, with 620 residential unit dwellings, accommodated across four high-rise towers. Laneways with open-air retail and dining will provide a modern and activated community environment and aims to cater for a diverse mix of future residents.  Combined with new workers, the precinct will provide a much larger customer base for retailers to connect with.

The Working Precinct proposes three office/ commercial towers ranging in height from eight to ten storeys. The towers will be activated at the ground by retail and frame an expansive landscaped plaza that will accommodate the overland flow path and heritage stack.

ADP has been providing building services engineering and masterplanning advice across the site along with, ICT design, and sustainability, which is an important aspect of the development. The project is targeting both a 5 Star Green Star Performance and 5 Star NABERS Energy rating, while also achieving carbon neutrality for the retail common areas.

The Sustainability focus is extended into the design of customer experience, from sustainable, green travel via e-bikes and EV charging stations to the use of subtropical landscaping and outdoor community spaces to reduce heat impacts.

The development will also have the added advantage of the strong rail, bus and car transport links and the proposed Brisbane Metro Cross and River Rail services.
