Construction is currently underway on the highly anticipated Avani hotel in Mooloolaba, Queensland.
Designed by renowned architectural firm Cottee Parker Architects for developer KPAT, the $250 million, 13-storey development will feature 180 hotel rooms, a luxurious rooftop pool and bar area, a dedicated AvaniSpa, and high-end dining facilities.
ADP Consulting has been engaged to provide specialist building services on the project including Audio Visual, ESD, Specialist Lighting, Vertical Transportation, Electrical and Mechanical engineering.
Height restrictions imposed by local authorities and regulatory bodies have been a key challenge for teams working on the project. Our team, in collaboration with the architect and project manager, was able to optimise the rooftop plant strategy to comply with these restrictions, meeting both client requirements and regulatory specifications.
Avani, a renowned hotel brand owned and operated by Bangkok-based Minor Hotels, have more than 40 hotels in operation worldwide, and this will be their first full-scale hotel in Australia.
Construction commenced late 2023, with the hotel currently set to open in 2025.
